AC Milan and Juventus have problems in the center-forward position this season. And both have decided to go for the young Sassuolo forward Gianluca Scamacca.

Milan have two center-forwards who are above the age of 30. Mario Mandzukic and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, the sum of their age is 73-years-old. So, the Rossoneri want a young forward for the future.

Juventus are heavily reliant on Cristiano Ronaldo for goals. Alvaro Morata and Paulo Dybala have been out of form. And for that Scamacca will be a good addition for the old lady.

Who is Gianluca Scamacca?

Gianluca Scamacca is the product of Roma youth academy. In January 2017, he was sold to the Italian club Sassuolo. On 29 October, at age 18. He made his Serie A debut in a 3–1 loss against Napoli.

Scamacca is currently on loan until the end of the season at Serie A side Genoa. Previously the 22-years-old forward was loaned out to Cremonese, PEC Zwolle, and Ascoli.

The U21 Italian International has started 9 games for the Grifone. He has found the back of the net four times and provided one assist this season. It is reported that Stefano Pioli’s and Andrea Pirlo’s sides are willing to go head to head in the upcoming summer transfer window for the signature of Scamacca.

It’s pretty clear that the future of the young forward isn’t at Sassuolo next season as different clubs have contacted his agent for his service. If Milan signs him then they would use him on a rotation basis, allowing him to develop in the shadow of another striker who is more first-team ready.

It will be interesting to see who will win the race for the signature of the young talented forward in the summer. It would be a great boost for his career both the teams are in the public eye.
