AC Milan are keeping an eye on Porto’s striker, who has contributed 14 goals this year

Today, a fresh name has surfaced as a possible offensive target for AC Milan: Porto’s Evanilson. Who is apparently being attentively watched? Francisco Evanilson de Lima Barbosa, better known by his stage name Evanilson. He is wanted by Milan, according to this morning’s edition of Tuttosport (via PianetaMilan). Milan is considering making a formal bid for Evanilson in the summer of 2023.

The 23-year-old joined Porto in the 2020 summer after graduating from Fluminese’s academy. This season, he has made 22 appearances in all competitions and has 8 goals and 6 assists, averaging one goal every 129 minutes in the league.

What was the contribution to his team?

Given that he scored 21 goals with Sérgio Conceiço’s team the previous season and scored his first Champions League goal this year against Club Brugge, he was a €9 million investment for Porto, and it appears to have paid off.

When Porto and Inter face off in the round of 16 of the Champions League in February and March of the following year, Milan will have the chance to see Evanilson up close and personal, which could help Milan determine whether he will be the No. 9 of the future.
