AC Milan enter the race for the ‘Serbian Ibrahimovic’

AC Milan have reportedly shown interest along with Liverpool and Manchester United to sign Fiorentina’s Serbian forward Dusan Vlahovic in the upcoming summer transfer window.

Vlahovic has emerged as one of the best center-forwards of Serie A this season. The 21-year-old forward has made 32 appearances in the league and scored seventeen times and assisted thrice. Including a hat-trick and a brace.

The most important aspect of his performance this season is that he produces in the big games. As he scored in the last game against Juventus in a 1-1 draw and scored twice in a 3-2 defeat against Atalanta. Vlahovic also scored against Lazio and made an assist against Milan.

Fiorentina bought the highly-rated Serbian forward from Partizan Belgrade in the summer of 2018 for just €2 million. And he has a contract with La Viola until June 2023.

Can Milan or any other Premier League clubs sign Vlahovic?

According to reports, Milan, Liverpool, Manchester United, Juventus, and Roma are all showing interest to grab the opportunity to land the highly-rated Serbian international.

However, Vlahovic has admitted that he is an admirer of Swedish legend Zlatan Ibrahimovic and considers him an idol. Which should put Milan ahead in the race for ‘Serbian Ibrahimovic’.

The Rossoneri are looking to bring a new striker in the summer as a backup for Ibrahimovic. The veteran has missed out half of the season due to fitness issues and injuries which caused Milan a lot of trouble at the back end of the season.

But, Roma have already made a move for the signature of Vlahovic. They have contacted Vlahovic’s agent to make sure that they can get him as a replacement for Edin Dzeko. Juventus also want him as Alvaro Morata will return to Atletico Madrid in the summer and he could be the perfect replacement for that.

Fiorentina are asking around €50 million for their star asset. However, the price might come down if Vlahovic turns down the opportunity to sign a new contract with La Viola. Then they might have to sell him for a cheaper price.
