AC Milan to have a Busy Deadline Day

AC Milan is still looking at possible options to bolster their squad. Transfer window 2022/23 is about to close and many clubs are still finding solutions to strengthen their squads. The likes of Barcelona and PSG have had a brilliant transfer window. They have invested in all the positions that they felt needed improvements. And Paolo Maldini feels that Milan have to step up and make more signings if they want to retain the Serie A title. Because of this, the Italian Champions are still looking to find more solutions even on the deadline day of the window.

The club has brought in key players like Divock Origi, De Ketelaere, and Malick Thiaw. But it is evident that only these signings will not be enough if Milan wants to retain the title. Moreover, they are also eyeing European success this season as the past ones were failures. Bakayoko was linked but will most probably end up joining OGC Nice. One signing that was needed and is now official is Sergino Dest from Barcelona. The Barcelona man joins Milan on a 1-year loan deal with an option to buy. This pretty much solves their right-back dilemma.

Fikayo Tomori also signed an extension with Milan. So did Zlatan Ibrahimovic who will have the option to leave in 2023. But looking at the Milan side, it feels that there are a lot of positions where improvements should be made. Deadline day will not bring any superstar signings but can improve squad depth. With the FIFA WC, this year and European competitions also starting soon, having a big squad is very important. Looking at how Inter Milan and Juventus have strengthened themselves, it will be a great title race in Serie A.

Serie A 2022/23. What to expect from Milan’s sides?

Serie A 2022/23 has kicked off and the title contenders have been off to a flyer. Inter Milan and AC Milan will once again battle it out for the Italian Championship. Juventus will be wanting to make more impact than just finishing top 4 in Serie A. Roma under Mourinho will be a team to look out for after the summer they have had. It is promised to be another blockbuster Serie A season where teams finishing equal on points on top will face off in a playoff match.

AC Milan look set to defend their Serie A title. The squad looks a lot more complete, with the addition of Charles de Ketelaere and Divock Origi. Milan beat their capital rivals last season by 3 points. But this season Inter Milan also looks more strengthened with signings. Romelu Lukaku is back at Inter which may just tip the odds in their favor. The fierce partnership will surely trouble Serie A defenses and try to bring the championship to Inter.
