Adrien Rabiot has refused to lower his wages to complete a transfer to Manchester United

Adrien Rabiot was signed by Juventus on a free transfer from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2019. The midfielder moved to Turin after his contract expired with the French Champions. Juventus completed the transfer after battling interest from Barcelona that summer.

However, the midfielder has failed to deliver the expected performances ever since his arrival. Juventus played a gamble on the French midfielder as Adrien Rabiot never established himself as a first-choice midfielder at Paris Saint-Germain either.

The Italian giants banked on the potential of the player and expected him to develop into a top midfielder. However, the French international has failed to perform at the desired level. Adrien Rabiot forms part of a midfield at Juventus that lacks creativity and control during crucial moments of the game. Juventus is in dire need of offloading their midfielders and bringing in fresh faces.

Paul Pogba has been signed after Adrien Rabiot’s experiment

Juventus has returned to the successful formula of signing proven players than experimenting with youth. Paul Pogba has returned to the Allianz Stadium after six years with Manchester United in England. The French international joined on a free transfer after his contract expired.

Paul Pogba earned his name at Juventus which facilitated the big money move to Old Trafford. Despite the failures in England, Pogba is expected to turn his fortunes at Juventus. However, Juventus will need to sign another midfielder who can compliment Pogba in the middle of the park. To make a new signing, it is important for Juventus to offload Adrien Rabiot or Arthur first.

Adrien Rabiot has refused to lower his wages in order to complete a transfer to Manchester United. Juventus has agreed to a €17 million price for the midfielder with Manchester United. However, the negotiations with Veronique, Rabiot’s mother, and agent have stalled due to the wage issue.
