Thierry Henry has urged Lionel Messi to return to the Camp Nou

Little about two years ago, the Argentina bid a sorrowful farewell to the Catalan giants as financial  difficulties prevented an agreement on a new deal. Since then, he has consistently been connected to a  return.

Messi’s relationship with Paris Saint-Germain supporters appeared to reach new lows on Sunday night when Lyon defeated them 1-0 at the Parc des Princes, handing the defending French champions their sixth loss overall since the beginning of the year.Henry urged his former teammate to complete a move  back to Barcelona after Messi’s name was heavily jeered by home fans.

In a statement to Amazon Prime Video,

“It’s embarrassing to hear whistles from the Parc”, He remarked.

Former Barcelona forward Thierry Henry has urged Lionel Messi to return to the Camp Nou “for the love of football” as his relationship with PSG fans continues to sour.

“You can’t whistle one of the best players on the team, who has 13 goals and 13 assists this season. Personally, I would like to see him finish his career at Barcelona, in Europe.”

“After that, I don’t know what he will do. Because the way he left Barcelona after everything he did… I didn’t really like it. For the love of football, he should go back to Barcelona.”

“I would like to see him finish his career at Barça, it’s a wish. I’m not saying he should leave PSG or not leave PSG. I’m happy to see him in the French league.”

“It’s about the love of the game, for what he did for this club. He didn’t leave as he should have. It’s something that still bothers me, and I think it bothers him too.”

Christophe Galtier says Messi is treated very “harsh”

PSG boss Christophe Galtier also criticised the jeers in Messi’s direction after the defeat to Lyon.

“Whistles against Leo Messi are very harsh. Leo is a player who gives a lot.

He also gave a lot in the first part of the season but it is also up to other players to have more functions.”

La Pulga “doesn’t seem to be valued enough” at PSG

Due to the club’s poor performance, the 35-year-old Messi has received heavy criticism from PSG supporters, particularly this season.
La pulga’s two-year stay at PSG hasn’t exactly gone as planned overall, especially with the recent criticism he has receiving from the supporters.
However, Messi was recently jeered by his own supporters after Les Parisiens’ humiliating 1-0 loss to Lyon. The Argentine has also previously faced jeers from supporters of the French powerhouses.
The Argentine’s work for Les Parisiens this season doesn’t seem to be valued enough.

Despite his 18 goals and 17 assists across all competitions, Messi is still booed by PSG fans.This stands in stark contrast to the affection and support the 35-year-old veteran footballer receives when he represents Argentina at the international level. A maximum of nine games remain in Messi’s PSG tenure before his contract expires at the conclusion  of the current season.

Messi will undoubtedly want to end his time at the Parc des Princes  with yet another Ligue 1 championship.
