Amad Diallo to Make His Manchester United Debut Against Liverpool?

About Football Express India - Indian Super League - I-League

The Ivorian wonderkid Amad Diallo was officially announced as a Manchester United player last week by the club. Amad Diallo has completed all his procedures and arrived at the Carrington training complex for the first time on Wednesday.

The 18-year-old was acquired by the Red Devils in the summer transfer despite having played only 24 minutes in the first team. He initially cost around £19 million which will rise to £41 million after the add-ons. Manchester United made the move for the highly-rated Diallo after the failed pursuit of Jadon Sancho. Amad will be a long term asset for the club.

Amad Diallo was unable to join Manchester United on the deadline day because of the UK permit and medicals. After the transfer window opened in January, all the formalities were completed and he travelled as soon as he got his visa.

AMAD DIALLO EXPECTED TO START ON SUNDAY FOR MANCHESTER UNITED?

Manchester United has finally got to the top of the table post-Christmas since they last did it in 2013. They have defied all odds and improved exceedingly as compared to their start to the season. They currently sit 3 points clear of Liverpool and 4 points off Manchester City who have a game in hand.

This Sunday it will be the clash for the Premier League top spot when Liverpool will be hosting their arch-rivals, Manchester United. Having said so, the fans will be expecting their new signing to make an appearance.

But, it is an advisory to the fans not to keep high hopes. Amad Diallo made his first training appearance yesterday. He might continue training with the first team for the time being. However, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer won’t be risking the youngster against a formidable team. It is no doubt that he will have a great future here, but Ole will not want to rush things.

He is most likely to make his appearance for the U23’s just like the Argentinian winger Facundo Pellistri is doing. As soon as he gets the hang of the type of play in England, he will be joining the first team.

He has been assigned the number 19 jersey, which was previously worn by the club graduate MBE Marcus Rashford. Now all Manchester United fans are hoping that Diallo hits the ground running as Marcus Rashford did in his breakout season.
