Arkadiusz Milik on his way to Premier League with Everton and Spurs

Arkadiusz Milik could be on his way out of Napoli in the January transfer window. English Premier League sides Everton and Tottenham Hotspur are linked with the Polish striker but they do not want to pay more than £20 million.

The Naples side has not registered him to play in the Serie A and the Coppa Italia. He rejected a contract extension at the start of this season with his contract set to expire by the end of June 2021.

The number 99 had been evaluating his options in the summer. PSG and Roma were keen on buying him but Napoli were not ready to sell him for less than £50 million.

English Premier League next destination for Milik?

Inter Milan have Romelu Lukaku, Lautaro Martinez, and Alexis Sanchez in a well-settled forward position. There is a good chance that Martinez may leave for Real Madrid, Manchester City, or Barcelona soon. Milik is familiar with the Italian league and it would not take him long to settle down.

Everton have been a surprise title contender this season and they owe it to their new signing, James Rodriguez. Milik is known for his ability to score and create goals. A good link up with Rodiguez and Calvert-Lewin could see Everton become a serious threat in Premier League.

Atletico Madrid already have Diego Costa and Luis Suarez fighting for the No.9 role. Milik can take the role of a playmaker to bolster their attack. He could also link up with Joao Felix.

Spurs have an elaborate attacking line-up with the likes of Harry Kane, Son Heung-min, Carlos Vinicius, and Lucas Moura. Apart from that, they have Gareth Bale, Dele Alli, and Steven Bergwijn. With injuries being a serious concern mainly in the Premier League, Milik could get some game-time and most importantly his form.

Does he still have it in him?

While there are clubs interested in him, they want him for a cut-price of £20 million. It would be ridiculous if Napoli ask for anything more than that for a player they don’t even play.

At 26, Milik has got many more years to play his best football. He does not want to play at Napoli and has also claimed that they haven’t treated him well. Let’s hope he turns everything around and show the world what he has truly got.
