The team could have easily won this match. However, there were a lot of problems in the squad. The referee was really problematic as well. At the end of the day the match ended with a draw. The team was only a few seconds away literally from securing an easy victory. However, Everton scored the equaliser in the 98th minute for Everton. The MerseySide derby at Goodison park ended in a draw. Abdoulaye Doucoure received two yellow cards for taunting the Liverpool supporters as well. Arne Slot was also sent off too. He shake Michael Oliver’s hand in a very aggressive manner.
Arne Slot Press Conference Cancelled:
Arne Slot was given a red card. His assistant was also given a red card as well. Arne Slot and his assistant were both not allowed in the press conference on that day. I really think the referee was absolutely horrendous. However, Liverpool too made several errors as well. It does seem like their injury issues were too much. However, they still played the main team.
Most of their injuries were at their defence. This is why they had a lot of problems facing the Everton attacking. Bad decisions made by the referee made the fans and the coach angry as well. The players also looked really frustrated as well. Due to both the coach and the assistant being on a red card, someone else has to manage the team. Johnny Heitinga, former Everton player will be in charge for Liverpool in the next match. The next Liverpool match will be against Wolves on Sunday.
Author’s Opinion:
I think Liverpool needs to be consistent from now on. Even with injuries, they need to stay consistent. If they are not consistent then they bottle their lead on top of the table. Arne Slot will be very careful from now on about his tactics.
