Arsenal ace is ready to face Liverpool at the Emirates

Premier League will be back in action from this weekend. As of now Liverpool are the table toppers with 18 points on their name. Behind them there are Man City and Arsenal who are just trailing by 1 point after the end of match week 7. So, none of these teams would not like to drop points at the earlier stages of the season.

Each of those three title contenders will be playing 4 games before the end of October. Two of them will be in the Premier League, and one each in the Champions League and Carabao cup respectively. But Liverpool have some tough fixtures compared to the other two’s.

Arne Slot’s Reds will have to face Chelsea this weekend at home and it has not been a great fixture for them in the last couple of years. And three days after that they will be in Germany to face RB Leipzig, who have one of the current best striker Benjamin Sesko on their side. The challenge will get tougher as Liverpool will have to face Arsenal and Brighton after that.

Slot will have to use his best possible xi against almost all those teams. So, there may be a bit of work overload on their star players like- Mo Salah, TAA and others. And Arteta will take full advantage of that as their fixtures before the Liverpool game are not that tough.

Can Slot win against Arsenal?

Brazilian winger Gabriel Martinelli is all fit and ready to fight all the hurdles that are on his way of winning titles with the Gunners. He has become one of Arsenal’s key players since joining the club in 2019 as a teenager. Martinelli was even in the list of top 5 scorers in the Premier League 2022-23 season as he scored 15 league goals.

But Gabi wasn’t on a great form at the end of the last season due to some injury issues. He also struggled at the beginning of this season. But Arteta always trusted the South American and gave him enough minutes to find his way back. And in the last few games Martinelli had performed well and scored a couple of goals too.

Gabi will do his very best in the left wing to achieve Arteta’s dream of winning silverwares. In a recent interaction with Football.London Gabriel Martinelli sounded very confident while talking about the upcoming league fixtures. The Brazilian stated,

“We can’t wait to play these games and we’ll be ready for them.”

Can Slot take revenge on Martinelli?

Though Gabriel Martinelli had only won 2 of the 10 games he had played against Liverpool but his stats against them are sensational. The Brazilian have had 7 goal contributions against Liverpool on those ten occasions. Only his national side teammate Vinicius Jr. has similar kind of records against them.

But Liverpool’s recent record against the Gunners haven’t been great. As they are yet to beat the London based side since 2022. And Arne Slot will exactly like to do that to prove his worth as a manager. It will not be an easy task to do that as the likes of Kai Havertz and Bukayo Saka upfront are in top form. And it is very hard to beat the defensive duo of Saliba and Gabriel. Liverpool will have to rely again on their Egyptian King to step on the big occasion.

Slot has been humble enough so far as he mentioned in a post-match conference that all of the games they have won so far doesn’t make him a great manager. He stated that the upcoming fixtures will describe his actual performance. As after the Chelsea and Arsenal game they will have to face Bayer Leverkusen, Real Madrid and City before the end of the year.
