Arsenal add Brazilian striker to their transfer wishlist
According to Ben Jacobs, Gunners are discussing about striker options this month. They have strong interest in RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko. However Jacobs thinks it is mostly the topic for summer window.
Jacobs also added that Arsneal are plotting a loan move for Evan Ferguson. But, they will need to buy Neto or terminate his contract. Raheem Sterling is also on loan but his contract does not have a break clause in January.
Lastly, Jacobs said that the North London club also have Igor Jesus on their radar as an option. Igor Jesus is 23 years old Brazilian striker who currently plays for Botafogo. He had decent season in 2024 where he played 31 games and was able to score 8 goals along with 5 assists.
Igor Jesus can be a good addition but the North London club will view him as a temporary solution. The 23 year old is not on the levels of other available options. Arsenal fans will want to see their club sign a big name striker who can find the back of the net regularly.
20 days of January have already passed and Gunners are still to get any concrete lead in the pursuit of any attackers. On the other hand, they have continued to drop points on multiple occasions. They need to hurry and make some key moves for may have to end with trophy once again this season.
