Arsenal have agreed personal targets with one midfielder over a summer deal. The star has been on the radar of North London club since a long time and have finally received a breakthrough.
The star in question is Spanish midfielder Martin Zubimendi. The 25 year old was heavily linked with a move to Premier League this summer. He was being looked upon by Liverpool and Arsenal.
However, Zubimendi rejected to move to England as was unwilling to move away from Spain. The Reds failed to land any midfielder in summer. On the other hand, Gunners opted to sign Zubimendi’s teammate Mikel Merino.
Arsenal are once again in hunt of midfielders as their two senior stars – Thomas Partey and Jorginho are set to leave at the end of the season. Partey is linked with a return to Spain whereas Jorginho is very heavily linked with Brazilian club Palmeiras. Gunners have received a major boost as they are now on the verge to land Zubimendi.
