Arsenal and Newcastle United could be seen in a swap deal next summer as per the latest reports. The deal may result in Alexander Isak and Gabriel Jesus swapping their current shirts.
Alexander Isak is looking very likely to bid farewell to Newcastle next summer. He has been superb since joining them in 2022. Isak has scored 39 goals in 77 games for Newcastle, but the number could have been more if he was fully fit for all the time.
Isak now wants a new contract with higher pay and release clause. It will make him the club’s highest earner. The Magpies are finding it hard to fulfill his demanda and hence the contract talks have stalled. Now it has emerged that Isak wants to play at highest level and hence is looking for UCL football.
Isak has now attracting attention of many top clubs. Newcastle are unwilling to sell him but now understand that they may lose the striker next year. Hence, they are looking for his potential replacements.
Newcastle plotting a move for Arsenal striker
According to Fichajes, the Magpies are looking to replace Alexander Isak with Gabriel Jesus. Gunners want around £55 million for Brazilian striker who is having a hard season at North London.
On the other hand, Isak finished the last season as the third highest goalscorer in the Premier League. He is 25 years old and is rated very highly. Earlier it was revealed that Arsenal are plotting a move of around £100 million for him.
A swap deal will work out well for both clubs with Arsenal spending more than Newcastle, but it will depand very much on what the both clubs think. It is still very early to predict the future of any of these stars as January move for Isak is not possible. Along with Isak, Gunners are also keeping tabs on Gyokeres who has been unstoppable since last season.
