Arsenal have announced the signing of their new sporting director. They have appointed Andrea Berta as the person to replace their first ever sporting director Edu Gasper.

Berta has a vast knowledge of playing the role as sporting director. He worked for 12 years with Atletico Madrid and built a world-class squad. After winning multiple trophies with Spanish giants, Berta decided to leave the club earlier. He has now decided to resume his career in English capital after proving in Spanish capital.
“I am thrilled to be joining Arsenal in what is a hugely exciting period for the club. I have watched with great interest the way Arsenal has evolved in recent years and I have admired the hard work that has gone into re-establishing the club as a major force in European football with a passionate following around the world” – Berta after appointment via official Arsenal website.
Arsenal to speed-up their transfer activity
Gunners are now expected to speed-up their transfer activity. The Italian is said to focus on midfield signings. There are moves expected for Martin Zubimendi. Berta can now play a major role with the help of his contacts in La Liga. Hence, the activity for the signing of Spanish star can be boosted in coming weeks.
