Arsenal are considering selling Bernd Leno for €13 million

According to several reports, Arsenal are considering transferring their German stopper Bern Leno at a price of €13 million. The gunners signed a new goalkeeper, Aaron Ramsdale this summer paying €30 million to Sheffield United. And the English goalkeeper seems to get first preference from Mikel Arteta in the last few matches. Following which Bernd Leno has gone down as a second-choice goalkeeper for Arsenal.

Bernd Leno joined Arsenal back in 2018 and since then he has been the first-choice goalkeeper for the gunners. Playing at Arsenal for full two seasons, Leno has appeared 121 times keeping clean sheets 35 times. While the stopper’s form in the goal has declined since last season.

Following his poor form, Arsenal invested in signing a new goalkeeper this summer and signed Aaron Ramsdale for €30 million. However, Leno started the first three games in the Premier League this season. And Arsenal failed to keep clean in all those three matches, while also lost all the three.

As a result, Mikel Arteta thought of replacing Leno between the sticks and gave Aaron Ramsdale the start in the next three games. And the gunners in their last three matches have kept two clean sheets while won the three games. Following which Ramsdale is now being favored to be a first-choice goalkeeper.

This means Bernd Leno has to sit on the substitute bench for Arsenal in this season, however, the gunners are thinking of getting rid of him. As per the latest reports, Arsenal are thinking of selling Leno rather than keeping him. And the gunners have put a €13 million price tag upon the German who would be available from January. It will be benefitting both parties as Arsenal wouldn’t have to pay his wages just for sitting on the bench and Leno will also get playing time in another club.
