The club has already signed a defender and is close to signing a new midfielder, and now they want to sign a new striker who can score goals when the other strikers are unable to score goals or when the team is dependent on their strikers to score goals.
In this season Mikel Arteta wanted to create a new team, a team which will be much more stronger and more improved squad than the last season’s squad, Arsenal are desperate to win the Premier League and they want to win the league in this season. He wants a team which becomes more difficult for the opponents to beat specially teams like Man City or Liverpool.
The Gunners need a team that can win the league
Arsenal is looking for a new striker, and England’s new hero, Ollie Watkins, can be the guy, especially after the Euro 2024 performance. They could sign him in this summer transfer window.
Ollie Watkins was playing in the Euros as a substitute, played all the game as a substitute, and gave his best, especially in the semi-final game where he scored a goal in the 90th minute against the Netherlands.
This showed his quality and has caught their eye to buy the player for this season; this has made him a different player.

The offer is very good in terms of money, and they are offering more money than Manchester United, but it looks that the striker is not interested in joining the Gunners; he loves United and wants to play for them, and he thinks that playing at United will help him to grow more than playing at Arsenal.
The player does not want to join Arsenal, as he does not want to end up like Emile Smith Rowe and Folarin Balogun. Both of them were very young when they started playing for the Gunners, but they not given much importance and chances; the club lost faith in them as soon as they lost form, and he does not want to end up like them.

The club wanted to sign Ivan Toney, but the player might not leave the club this season,
So now they are looking to sign Viktor Gyokeres as their backup striker who can help the team score goals when other attackers are unable. Arsenal are trying to improve and strengthen their bench.
