Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta wants urgent attacking signings this month. He also has some names on the wishlist who can make an instant effect on the current squad.
Gunners are in a serious phase right now. They are on the 2nd position in Premier League but 6 points below table toppers Liverpool. In addition, the Reds have one game in hand and can increase the lead by 9 points if they manage to win it.
Arsenal recently had to face defeat in Carabao Cup against Newcastle United. The Magpies thrashed them by 2-0 at the Emirates. Gunners were unable to score goal in their own home and are now on the verge of getting knocked out.
Lastly, the North London club has been knocked out yesterday by Man United in the FA Cup. Gunners are on the verge of ending yet another season without a trophy and hence some key changes need to be made by the club.
Arsenal boss wants attacking signings this month itself
Gunners are believed to make some key signings this month. Bukayo Saka will miss many games and this has been a big blow for them. In addition, Gabriel Jesus who recently was in superb form has also suffered a serious injury.
Arteta has labelled Jesus injury as a ‘big worry’ which makes the condition even worse for Arsenal. Miguel Delany has reported that Arteta wants to sign a forward this season but he will not open about it in public for many reasons.
Delany added that Arteta likes Nico Williams but his wages demands are creating a problem. In addition, the Spanish boss is also interested to sign Benjamin Sesko or Viktor Gyokeres.
The board need to back Arteta and give him what he wants before it’s too late. They are very likely to sign a winger and a striker but are never been linked highly with any of their targets. This has to change or else Gunners will have to say goodbye to all trophies in coming months.
