Arsenal complete their first deal of January window

Arsenal have completed their first deal of the January transfer window. They have shown an exit door to one of their academy players and the deal is now confirmed.

The January transfer window has began and Gunners have already started their activity. Earlier, they defeated Brentford in the Premier League fixture. Now, their first deal of the window is confirmed.

Arsenal academy graduate departs

Gunners have parted ways with their academy player Josh Robinson. The 20 year old has joined Wigan Athletic on a permanent transfer. It has been confirmed on the official website of Wigan Athletic.

Robinson plays as a right back and has played 13 games this season for Gunners academy. He has been able to score 2 goals and assist 2 more. He has not played for senior team but was called up by Mikel Arteta in 4 out of 6 UCL matches.

Robinson has signed three and half years contract with Wigan. This will he a big step up in his career as playing for first team will help him in progress. He was looking pumped after signing the contract.

“It’s a very big football club, and I am looking forward to seeing what the season holds. They were interested in me and when you see a big clu like Wigan, you cannot turn that opportunity down” – Robinson about his move to Wigan.

In addition, the 20 year old expressed his gratitude towards Arsenal. Firstly, he said that he had been with the North London club for long time. A move to first team is a big step up but the 20 year old feels like he is ready for that.

Lastly, this has started the transfer business of Arsenal. Their fans will now hope to see new arrivals as soon as possible. The defence looks sorted hence we can expect some offensive signings.
