Arsenal considering a shock move for Chelsea man

Arsenal could be moving-in to make a transfer for 29-year-old Chelsea winger. The Blues are keen to offload Raheem Sterling from the Stamford Bridge. The English winger is not a part of Enzo Maresca’s plans. At the same time, he is quite high on the Blues’ wage list. So, he will be leaving soon. Man Utd were in the race for signing him as a part of a swap deal. Meanwhile, Maresca would be getting Jadon Sancho. Even Juventus had shown some interest in signing Sterling. But, no serious moves have been made yet. As per the latest developments, the Gunners could now be signing the 29-year-old.

Raheem Sterling offered to the Gunners

Arsenal are currently discussing if they want to make a transfer for the Chelsea man. Sterling is out of favor at the Bridge. Also, Maresca has made it pretty clear that he won’t be getting any minutes with the Blues. So, the Gunners could try to sign him. We, at footballexpress.in, recently talked about the possibility of Kingsley Coman joining the Emirates. Signing Sterling won’t be a bad option either. Considering, the latter has a lot of experience of playing in the Premier League. Adebayo Akinfewa recently spoke of how the 29-year-old winger could actually be an ‘asset’ for Arteta.

Should Arsenal make a transfer for the Chelsea winger?

As per theguardian.com, the Gunners will face a lot of difficulty in getting the deal done. Sterling still has 3-years left on his current contract with the Blues. At the same time, his wages are quite high. Arsenal may have to splurge for making a transfer for the Chelsea man. We did see Kai Havertz improving a lot under Arteta. Could the Spaniard do the same with Raheem Sterling is something worth watching. At his best, the Englishman is one of the finest in the business.
