Arsenal could get snubbed by Brazilian attacker this month

Arsenal could get snubbed by one of their top targets this month. The player is also being looked upon by Manchester United. However, the player is not keen to join any if them.

The star in question here is Brazilian attacker Matheus Cunha. Cunha joined Premier League club Wolves in January 2023 from Atletico Madrid. Since then, he has been very good and is one of the best players in England right now.

Cunha ended the last season with 14 goals and 8 assists in 36 games. This season he has levelled up and has already recorded 10 goals and 4 assists in 20 games. He is being looked upon by many of the top clubs right now.

Cunha to snub Arsenal and Man United this month

As of now, Arsenal and Man United are believed to be frontrunners to sign Cunha. The Gunners have been long term admirers of the Brazilian attacker. They have shown interest in him since his move to England.

On the other hand, United are keen to improve their attacking unit. Many if their current stars are linked with exit which will open up space in squad. However, they are still behind Arsenal in the race due to not playing in Champions League.

Both United and Arsenal would have loved to add Cunha to their squad this month itself. However, The Sun have reported that Cunha will stay with Wolves until the end of the season.

Cunha has played in 19 out of 20 league games for Wolves this season. He has been their best player and the reason behind the club avoiding relegation zone.

Wolves are on 17th place but have same points as Ipswich town who are in relegation zone. It will be impossible for Wolves to convince Cunha to stay next season if they are relegated.
