One Arsenal defender is very likely to join Italian club in summer window. He was been looked in this window itself, but the deal failed to materialize. However, it looks like that will not be the case in the summer window.
It was a very quiet transfer window for the North London giants. They made no moves in the window and this suggests that a big window awaits them in summer. There will surely be some key signings but at the same time there will be a lot of departures from the Emirates.
Gunners are likely to part ways with 3 defenders. They have made Oleksandr Zinchenko available in market who is looked upon by Borussia Dortmund. In addition, Tierney has already signed pre-contract with his boyhood club Celtic.
William Saliba is also being looked upon by Real Madrid but Arsenal will make it very hard for the Spanish giants to sign him. However, Gunners will find it very hard to keep hold of another one of their defender who himself wants to leave.
Arsenal star closing in on exit in summer
The star in question here is Jakub Kiwior who has fallen down the pecking order. The 24 year old rarely plays and only starts if other defenders are unavailable. He was looked by Italian clubs this window itself, but no deal materialized.
According to Now Arsenal, Napoli offered £12.5 million for Kiwior this window. But, the Gunners rejected the offer as they wanted around £20 million. Napoli never came with second offer and hence the deal resulted in failure.
Gunners will find it very hard to keep hold of Kiwior in summer. The 24 year old will push for a move as he is very unlikely to become a regular starter at North London. Mikel Arteta is expected to be just fine without Kiwior as he has penalty other options right now.
