Arsenal game analysis against Chelsea

Arsenal scored the first score to break the deadlock at the Bridge. A wonderful lifted up ball by Martin Odegaard found the feet of Gabriel Martinelli, who just had to put it into the net. After a loose first half from both the sides the goal created a havoc in the home team dressing room.

It was a must win game for the Gunners to keep them a favorites in the title race. They were desperate to defend the lead since then. However, Pedro Neto had other plans. Gliding towards the middle from the right side Neto scored a belter of a goal from a low outside of the box shot which left the away fans stunned.

The match the ended in a 1-1 draw. But the Gunners did have their chances till the end. As Leandro Trossard missed one of the easiest ever tap-ins that he could have got at the stoppage time. This chance could have won them the game. However, this sums the season so far for Arsenal.

Loads of injuries, poor decisions from referees and poor tactics by the manager have costed them some valuable points. Their defensive approach after securing a lead have been a poor decision by Arteta. As they have failed to win the games against City, Liverpool and Chelsea despite of having the lead.
