Mikel Arteta will like to sign a clinical number nine who scores regularly. As of now, Jesus is linked with exit and akai Havertz who is first choice striker has experienced a dip in from.

Arsenal are keen to sign Isak despite the 25 year old costing a hefty sum. They are prepared to break the club record in order to secure his signature. However, they are now handed with major blow.

Arsenal to miss out on Isak?

According to The Sun, Isak is ready to stay at Newcastle if they qualify for Champions League next season. The Magpies are back in top four race with 4 straight victories in Premier League. They are currently on 5th position and 3 points behind Chelsea.

Playing Champions League football is the top priority for the Sweden international. Other than UCL football, Isak is very happy with Magpies and he has repeatedly said that. He has caught back his top form and has scored in last 6 league games. He has 12 goals and 4 assists in 17 league games so far.

This will come as a big blow for Gunners who are desperate to sign a striker. They will hope that Newcastle miss out on the UCL spot. Gunners do have plenty other options in the market. But, none of their targets except Isak have played in Premier League. This was the reason why the Sweden international is their priority target.
