The star in question here is Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic. According to Mirko Di Natale, Gunners have made enquiries in recent weeks to sign Vlahovic. However, their are no news about offers being made as of now.
Vlahovic is tied to Juve with a contract running until 2026. The Italian club offered him contract extension but the player has refused the proposal. Hence, Juve are desperate to sell him to avoid losing him on free transfer.
Arsenal have been long term admirers of Vlahovic. They were even interested to sign him in 2022 when he joined Juventus from Fiorentina. They can now fulfill their wish of signing the Serbian striker this month.
Vlahovic has a vast experience of playing at top level. He has scored 12 goals and picked 2 assists in 22 games this season. He has been superb in Champions League which is considered as the highest stage in club football where he has 5 goal contributions in 5 matches.
Vlahovic can be a very good addition to Arsenal squad. He can get in the starting lineup directly as he will be an upgrade on any player currently playing as number nine for Gunners. It will he interesting to see if Arsenal take a step further soon.
