Arsenal have no intention to sell Bukayo Saka, claims journalist

Arsenal do not want to part ways with the academy graduate Bukayo Saka and consider him as ‘untouchable’, as per the report from Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.

The 20-year-old joined the Hale End academy at the age of seven and signed his first professional contract at 17. The winger made his senior debut back in 2018 in a Europa League game against Vorskla Poltava. Since then, the midfielder has made 92 appearances in all competitions for the north London club, scoring 12 goals in this process.

Speaking on his Here We Go podcast Fabrizio Romano claimed that following an impressive display from the Englishman over the last few campaigns, few clubs started to approach the 20-year-old. However, Arsenal desperately want to keep hold of Saka and consider him as untouchable. Mikel Arteta is trying to build a young squad with players like the England International. Romano said:

“Some clubs are starting to approach Bukayo Saka, as he’s one of the best players in his position for the future. Arsenal consider him untouchable. They are planning to build on players like Saka.”

Arsenal have no intention to part ways with Saka:

Mikel Arteta is looking to build a young squad who can develop and blossom at the Emirates Stadium. The Spanish boss has bought quite a few young players in this summer transfer window,. With academy graduates like Bukayo Saka and Emile Smith Rowe already at his disposal.

So, it makes sense to keep their young talents at the club and let them have the freedom to showcase their talents in the Premier League. However, selling their one of the best young talents could be a very disappointing situation for the north Londoners.

Nevertheless, following a disappointing start to a new campaign, Arsenal found the first victory of the league campaign against Norwich City last weekend. The Emirates club will be looking to continue their winning run against Burnley in their next game on Saturday.
