Arsenal have been hughly hit by injuries since the start of the season. Mikel Arteta had a tough job to do due to regular starters getting injured. Amidst these bad news, Gunners have been handed with a potential boost.

4 Arsenal stars closing in on return from injury

According to Sam Dean, Ben White, Takehiro Tomiyasu, Riccardo Calafiori and Ethan Nwaneri are all closing in on return back to the pitch. However, Bukayo Saka will still miss many games as per Dean. Saka may return in March although it is not yet concrete.

This will come as a major boost for Mikel Arteta who has surely missed all these stars on multiple occasions. Ben White will take his allotted position as right back and make Gunners strong in the back. This will also mean that Thomas Partey will no longer have to play as right back.

Similar is the situation on the other flank where Calafiori will take his place as main left back. It will add more quality and solidity to the backline as both Calafiori and White as centre-backs in nature. The Italian’s return will open exit doors for Zinchenko ans possibly for Kiwior too.

Takehiro Tomiyasu has been majorly missed by everyone at the club. He is able to provide backup for everyone in the backline is known for playing decent in any position. Mikel Arteta will be able to rotate his players more freely after the arrival of Tomiyasu.

Lastly, Ethan Nwaneri has been superb so far this season. He has broke into the first team and has constantly impressed the club. Arteta has loved the starboy who has responded very well whenever needed. This will also be a major boost for the club.

As for Saka, everyone is already aware of his long term absence. The Englishman underwent surgery and this obviously needs lot of attention and time to recover. Gunners will not force Saka to play unless he is fully fit.
