Arsenal ship out Shkodran Mustafi, Ainsley Maitland Niles, and Joe Willock on the deadline day of the January Transfer Window.

Arsenal are enduring a poor season in Premier League. However, off the field Gunners have done some brilliant bit of business. With the likes of Martin Odegaard and Matt Ryan signing on loan.

Arsenal have managed to trim their squad with Mesut Ozil, Sead Kolasinac, and Sokratis all securing a move-out of the club. They have successfully cut down their wage bill which can now be used for new signings.

ARSENAL DEADLINE DAY OUTGOINGS:

The trend continued on the deadline day with Shkodran Mustafi securing a move to Schalke. The 28-year-old German international signed a permanent deal with Bundesliga side Schalke. Consequently allowing Ozan Kabak to sign for Liverpool.

Arsenal also managed to guarantee game time for Maitland-Niles and Joe Willock with a loan move.

Mustafi didn’t play a single minute in the Premier League for the Gunners. And in the final six months of his deal and was keen to return to his homeland. Meanwhile, he will team-up with former Arsenal team-mate Sead Kolasinac. The Bosnian signed for the Die Knappen earlier this window.

Ainsley Maitland-Niles in pursuit of more game time completed a loan move to West Bromwich Albion in hopes of playing at upcoming Euros. However, Gunners were reluctant to let him join Leicester.

Similarly, Joe Willock secured a deadline move to Newcastle United in search of more game time.
