Arsenal join the race to sign world class Brazilian attacker

Arsenal have joined the race to sign one world class Brazilian attacker. They are keen to sign him in January but it can prove very hard mid-season. He will cost a hefty price due to his quality.

The star in question is Matheus Cunha of Wolves. The 25 year old is in superb form this season. He already has 10 goals and 4 assists in 18 Premier League games. In addition, he is now a regular player for Brazil national team.

Cunha has been one of the best players in Premier League this season. He is versatile which makes him a key asset at any club. Wolves are very happy with him and have no intention to sell him anytime soon.

But, the Brazilian is attracting a lot of top clubs who are keen to sign him. Wolves have Cunha tied with a contract running until 2027. Hence, they will demand a hefty amount of money from any interested party.

Arsenal have joined the race to sign Matheus Cunha

According to The Telegraph, Gunners have joined the race to sign Cunha. They can convince the star to join them next year but a January move looks very unlikely. But, Wolves are on 17th position in Premier League and just 1 point above relegation zone. This will force the club to part ways with their prized asset.

There were reports stating that Arsenal added Cunha to their list after the injury to Bukayo Saka. But, it seems like Gunners are long admirers of the Brazilian attacker. He can be a very good addition to their squad.

Cunha mainly plays as attacking midfielder but he can play as left winger and striker too. Hence, he can compete with Havertz or Martinelli for the starting position quickly after joining. In addition, he can be a very good backup for Odegaard and Saka whenever required.
