Arsenal joined by 2 English clubs in the race to sign 18 year old

Temporary Unemployed Football Agents

Arsenal have been joined by 2 other Premier League clubs in the race to sign their 18 year old target. The player is in England and make a key decision about his future very soon.

The star in question here is 18 year old mid-fielder Sverre Halseth Nypan. Nypan plays for Rosenborg and had an excellent season recently. He ended the 2024 season with 8 goals and 7 assists in 19 games.

Nypan mainly plays as central midfielder but can rarely play as striker too. He has represented Norway on multiple youth stages so far. He is yet to make his debut for Norway first team but it looks like that too may change very soon.

Arsenal keen to sign Sverre Nypan

Gunners have shown interest in the 18 year old since a long time. They want Nypan to follow the footsteps of Matin Odegaard to the Emirates stadium. The North London club will need a midfield transformation soon.

Partey and Jorginho are both very close to depart from Arsenal as free agents. This will open up space and Gunners will want to sign a young player whom they can view as long-term investment.

Gunners joined by 2 other English clubs

According to Fabrizio Romano 2 other Premier League clubs are showing interest in Nypan. Gunners are joined by Man City and Aston Villa in the race. All 3 clubs have presented their projects to the player.

Romano further added that Man City plan to send Nypan to Girona owned by City group. The 18 year old will then move to Man City in future. Lastly, Romano said that Nypan is taking his time to visit the clubs and take the best possible decision.

Eariler it was said that Nypan visited City and now he is said to be present in London to visit Arsenal. As of now, it seems like Gunners have the lead in the race but anything can happen as it is still the early stage.
