UEFA Champions League 2025

Arsenal are keen to sign 21 year old fullback this summer. The player is already impressing in Premier League. He is wanted by Liverpool to replace their current fullback.

Liverpool are set to sign some defensive players this summer. Firstly, they will need to find a perfect replacement for their academy graduate Trent Alexander Arnold. In addition, they are also in need to sign defender on other side. Andy Robertson is now 31 years old and is approaching the end of his career.

Gunners have a great defensive squad right now. They are said to have the best defence in not only England but whole world. But, they can still be seen making moves to improve their left side of the defence. Both Liverpool and Arsenal have came across one player in common.

Arsenal join Liverpool in race for young fullback

According to GiveMeSport, Arsenal are keen to sign Milos Kerkez. Liverpool have him as the top target and had long-term interest in him. But, they will now need to beat the competition from Gunners in order to land him this summer.

Kerkez is only 21 years old but is playing a major role for Bournemouth. He joined them in summer 2023 and has established himself as regular starter. He mainly plays as left-back but can also serve as left-wing-back if required.

Kerkez played 33 games last season and was able to register 1 assist. He has vastly improved this season and has added goals and assists to his tally. So far, he has played 34 games this season and has registered 2 goals along with 5 assists.

Liverpool can still have lead in the race for Kerkez. They can guarantee the player regular game-time which Arsenal may find tricky to offer. Gunners currently have Lewis-Skelly, Calafiori and Timber who can all play as left-back.
