- Arsenal are keen to sign Bryan Mbeumo
- Mbeumo has been in superb form this season for Brentford
- The 25 year old is also looked upon by Newcastle United
Arsenal have been highly tested this season due to lack of attacking options. Actually they do have quality attackers but not proper backups. This resulted in them dropping some inportant points.
There is huge load on Bukayo Saka, Martin Odegaard and Kai Havertz. Saka and Odegaard have already missed games whereas Havertz has experienced dip in his form recently.
Other attackers have not lived up the expectations. Gunners are even said to move on from Sterling and Jesus next. Arsenal board is currently looking at available options in the market.
Arsenal keeping tabs on Bryan Mbeumo
As per CaughtOffside, Arsenal and Newcastle United are both keen to sign Mbeumo from Brentford. Gunners are planning to make a move in January itself. The Bees are aware of the situation and may demand around £40 million for the versatile attacker.
Bryan Mbeumo has been in a superb form this season. He has already scored 8 goals and picked 1 assist in 12 Premier League games. This will surely attract many other top clubs as he is highly versatile too.
Firstly, Gunners will view Mbeumo as a quality backup for Bukayo Saka. They may even plan to use him on left side and replace Martinelli. The 25 year old can also act as a cover for striker when required.
On the other hand, the Magpies will view the Brentford star as replacement for Isak. Isak is very likely to move away next year. As of now, Gunners are leading the race for him.
Mbeumo will have a tough decision to make very soon. He may want to play regularly which is more likely possible at Newcastle. But at the same time, moving to Gunners will increase his chances of winning a major trophy.
