Alexander Isak has currently put all of the top clubs on red alert. It is because he has stalled the contract extension talks with Newcastle United. Now, Arsenal legend Freddie Ljungberg has spoken very highly of Isak and said that top clubs can sign him soon.
Isak has entered the prime of his career and had best season of his career last term. The Sweedish international is one of the best strikers currently in Europe. He scored 25 goals last season out of which 21 were in Premier League. Isak finished the season by becoming third highest goalscorer in english league.
Isak is only 25 years old and Magpies view him as a key player for their future. They want to extend the player’s contract and secure their future. But, Isak has now stalled the contract extension talks. He wants to become the highest paid player in the club and also wants a release clause in his new contract.
This has put many of the top clubs on red alert who will be keen to aquire his services. Now, Freddie Ljungberg has spoken very highly about the striker and believes top club can sign him very soon.

Ljungberg believes that his compatriot can make a difference at the highest level. He told Expressen that he like Isak and the striker is amazing whilst playing at the highest level. He added that Isak has super qualities that coaches look for.
“This is a player for whom I want things to go so incredibly well. He seems so humble and down to earth, and it feels like he just wants to work hard and play football” – Ljungberg full of praise when speaking about Isak.
Later, Arsenal legend went on to say that Isak will be a good fit for the top clubs. By top clubs, he had no bad intention towards Newcastle but he believes Chelsea, Arsenal or Man City can elevate Isak to next level.
Man City already have Erling Haaland and the Norway international is in red hot form. Chelsea are focused on Osimhen whereas Arsenal are focused on Sesko. Hence, it will be interesting to see how the Isak story unfolds and wheter he moves on from Newcastle.
