Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City are all showing interest in German wonderkid. They are keen to sign him this summer and hence are in constant contact with the player’s representatives.
The star in question here is Florian Wirtz who plays for Bayer Leverkusen. Wirtz is 21 years old and has came up through Leverkusen’s academy. He has played 156 games for them and is now a regular starter for German national team as well. He has represented his country 29 times.
Wirtz is looked upon as one of the best young players in the world right now. He had an amazing last season where he helped Leverkusen to win their first ever Bundesliga title. In addition, he also helped them win DFB Pokal.
Wirtz ended last season with 18 goals and 19 assists in 49 games. He was heavily linked with some of the top clubs in the world. But, the German attacker stayed at Germany. He has again been very good this season and has so far scored 15 goals along with 11 assists. It seems like, he will surely move away this summer.
Arsenal, Liverpool and Man City all keen to sign Florian Wirtz
TBR Football have reported that Gunners along with Liverpool and City are showing interest in Wirtz. The 21 year old will surely cost more than €100 million. He mainly plays as attacking midfielder but can play anywhere on the frontline. This makes him key target for all of the above mentioned clubs.
Firstly, Gunners are surely going to spend big on attack this summer. Wirtz can be a great addition to the squad. He can replace Martinelli or Kai Havertz. In addition, he will be quality backup for Odegaard and Saka.
As for Liverpool, there are rumours that Luis Diaz may leave this summer. In addition, Salah will need replacement very soon. The Reds are also keen to sign a striker which makes Wirtz and ideal fit as per their requirements.
Lastly, Man City are planning to replace Kevin De Bruyne. It is said that Pep Guardiola views Wirtz as perfect replacement for their legendary Belgian. It will be interesting to see which club’s jersey will Wirtz wear next.
