Arsenal likely to lose the race against Man City for their top target

Arsenal are set to lose the race to sign one of their top targets. Manchester City are expected to sign the player in order to revive their season.

The star in question is Egyptian footballer Omar Marmoush. Marmoush is 25 years old and plays for Frankfurt at the moment. He has been in superb form this season and has intrest from all over the world.

Marmoush is highly versatile and can play anywhere on the frontline. In addition, he can also play as attacking midfielder. He has scored 18 goals and picked 11 assists in 24 games this season.

Frankfurt have no intention to sell Marmoush but the player is heavily linked with a move to England. Liverpool were believed to be the frontrunners in the race to sign him in order to replace Salah.

However, the Reds are now focused on handing Salah new contract. This gave Arsenal the lead to sign him. Gunners are desperate to sign attacking players. But, they are now quickly pushed back in the race as per the latest reports.

City had a very quiet summer window which has affected them negatively. They are in a rough phase and struggling at the moment. They are sitting on the 6th position in Premier League and can miss out on UCL spot.

City board are aware of the situation and the reports say that they will be very active this month. Hence, we can expect them to go all out for Marmoush who can be an upgrade on several players like Grealish and Savinho.
