Arsenal have now made signing striker their priority and they may make move for Dusan Vlahovic in January. It will not be easy but the current situation has forced Mikel Arteta to step up. On the other hand, Juventus play a huge part in making or breaking of the potential deal.
Gunners make striker signing priority
Gunners wanted to sign a new striker this summer. They were viewing Benjamin Sesko who signed a new deal with RB Leipzig. Arteta did had other options available but fell short on time. As a result, he choose to stick with Kai Havertz.
Despite Havertz doing really good, it is still unclear if the German can do it for long term. This is not his preferred position and to make matters worse he does not have a quality backup. Gabriel Jesus is out of form whereas Gunners have already sold Eddie Nketiah.
Along with the above facts, injuries have given Arsenal another reason why they need to sign a proper attacking player. Sesko is still the priority for the North London club but he is very unlikely to be available in January.
Arsenal linked with Dusan Vlahovic
As Sesko is now unavailable in January, Gunners are monitoring other options. According to Caught Offside, they may make move for Vlahovic who seems like a player available in January.
The Juventus striker has only 18 months left in his current contract. As per the reports, Juve are finding it hard to extend his contract and hence may sell him in January. They may ask for a fee around €60 million for the 24 years old striker.
Juve are also said to make a move for Sesko. But they do need to be prepared to spend big and hence will be desperate to sell Vlahovic. Gunners may take advantage of the situation and sign Vlahovic on bargain who has already scored 7 times this season for Juve.
