Arsenal and Man United both have strong interest in one Premier League attacker this summer. But, the player prefers to join their English rivals Liverpool.
Arsenal are set for a big summer transfer window. Mikel Arteta wants to add more quality in his current squad. There are new faces expected in all parts of the pitch but attacking signings will be seen as top priority.
On the other hand, Man United have gone through one of their worst seasons in history. They are set for a major summer overhaul. Many of the current players are likely to be sold and new players are expected to replace them.
Lastly, Liverpool are having a good season and are headed to their 20th league title. But, they are keen to add more quality to their final third. Both Darwin Nunez and Jota are linked with exit. In addition, Salah and Diaz also find their future uncertain at the Anfield.
Liverpool lead the race for Brazilian star over Arsenal and Man United
The star in question here is Matheus Cunha of Wolves. He signed a new contract this January but is likely to move away this summer. The player has £62.5 million release clause and is being looked upon by all Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester United.
According to Football Insider, Cunha wants to join Liverpool this summer. This gives the Reds an important lead over Arsenal and Man United. He has already told Wolves about his desire to leave and hence Liverpool can land him easily by triggering his release clause.
Arsenal will try again to convince the player to join them. Andrea Berta can play a major role as he has good relation with the Brazilian. As for United, they may struggle as they have very slim chance to play UCL football next season. Their only hope to qualify for UCL is by winning the Europa League.
