Manchester United Target Eriksen Transfer Listed by Inter Milan

Midfield Maestro Christian Eriksen transfer-listed by Antonio Conte’s Inter Milan. He is no longer part of the plans in motion, Arsenal and Manchester United hoping to bring back Eriksen to England.

The once highly sought after midfielder now sits on the bench for the Italian Giants. Christian Eriksen has only played 373 minutes in all competitions this season and has zero goal contribution.

The 28-year-old Christian Eriksen played for Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League. He played for the Lilywhites for almost 7 years before leaving for Inter Milan to “try something new”. This deal should’ve been amazing, however, hindsight is 20/20.

Christian Eriksen scored 51 goals and assisted 62 in 226 appearances in the Premier League. He can still return to the PL to revive his career.

Inter Milan CEO Giuseppe Marotta confirmed this news and also agreed Eriksen will leave in January.

“Yes, I can confirm that Christian Eriksen is on the transfer list. He’s going to leave in January. He’s not functional to our plans and he had difficulty here at Inter. I think it’s right that Christian goes away to find more space.”

CHRISTIAN ERIKSEN A GOONER?

The once Spurs man can join arch-rivals Arsenal in the January transfer window. However, this won’t be the first time a player left Spurs to join Arsenal. The most notable one being Sol Campbell who left Spurs to join Arsenal. He went on to become an integral part of the Invincible side who won the PL without losing a single game.

Christian Eriksen joining Arsenal would be a solid move for all parties involved. Inter Milan get money. Eriksen gets playing time. And Arsenal finally get a creative midfielder after they pushed Mesut Ozil out of the squad for “footballing reasons”.

Mikel Arteta could do with an experienced playmaker like Eriksen. His side has struggled to create chances this season scoring a mere 8 goals in the PL.

ERIKSEN, ANOTHER MIDFIELDER FOR MANCHESTER UNITED?

Manchester United already have a fully stacked midfield. The addition of Donny Van De Beek has eliminated any available space for another midfielder. The Dutchman himself has barely played for The Red Devils due to Bruno Fernandes’ form.

It is very difficult to see where Eriksen would fit in at Manchester United. However, if a deal were to go through it would mean Eriksen is happy with a bench position.
