Arsenal are planning to replace their current striker Gabriel Jesus next year. Jesus was said to leave this summer but the plan was revised later and he stayed at the club. It was maybe due to Gunners not being able to find a new number nine. But, Mikel Arteta has now made signing striker a priority next year and hence is making moves for it. Arsenal sent scouts to monitor Dusan Vlahovic and Benjamin Sesko in their recent clash.
Gabriel Jesus is now very likely to move away from North London. The Brazilian striker has constantly failed to prove his worth. He is currently being used as a substitute striker by Mikel Arteta and is far away from making his way back as a regular starter.
Jesus was introduced on the pitch against Paris Saint-Germain on 74th minute. He was only able to complete 40% of his passes and had 0 shots.
Jesus was unable to complete any dribbles and was dispossessed 3 times in his short cameo. He also failed to win any of his ground and ariel duels.
Gunners keeping tabs on Vlahovic and Sesko
As per TBR Football, Arsenal sent scouts in the Champions League fixture of Juventus and RB Leipzig. The main targets for Gunners scout was the main strikers of both clubs.
Firstly, the scoring was opened by Benjamin Sesko who gave the hosts the lead. Later, Vlahovic equalized for Juve in 50th minute. On the 65th minute, Leipzig were awarded a penalty which was converted by Sesko. After just three minutes(68th minute), Vlahovic scored again to make the score 2-2.
Both strikers were able to find the back of the net two times and were matching each other like for like. Finally, Chico Conceicao was able to score the fifth goal of the match and guide Juventus to victory.
Arsenal scouts surely would have enjoyed the match but now also have to make a hard choice of picking one between them. Luckily, they have enough time to take the right decision and make Gunners unstoppable.
