One more Brazilian club has joined the race to sign Arsenal midfielder this month. The player is very likely to move away from the Emirates and Brazil is becoming his potential next destination.

The star in question here is Jorginho who joined Gunners in January 2023 from Chelsea. He helped the North London club to finish on 2nd position in Premier League for two consecutive seasons. The Italian will be out of contract at the end of the season.

Jorginho to leave Arsenal this month

Jorginho has now fallen down the pecking order and rarely starts. In addition, he is now 33 years old and Gunners are open to part ways with him this month. This will allow them to earn some profit instead of letting the Italian leave for free in summer.

Gunners are reported to have agreed personal terms with Martin Zubimendi. This suggests that both Partey and Jorginho will depart this summer. Partey has been linked with a return to Spain whereas Jorginho is linked with many clubs.

Firstly, Jorginho was linked with some Saudi clubs who are keen to sign him this month. Later it was revealed that the 33 year old may retire and take coaching job at the Emirates. Last week, Brazilian club Palmeiras joined the race to sign him.

Jorginho was offered to Palmeiras and his representatives were in talks with the Brazilian club. Now, one more Brazilian club has joined the race which increases the chances of Brazil being his next destination.

Flamengo join the race to sign Jorginho

According to Ge Globo, Flamengo have opened talks with Arsenal foe Jorginho. They are offering the Italian a 3 year contract. Gunners may agree the deal which will be in best interest of both the club and the player.

Jorginho is 33 years old and a 3 year contract will be very good to secure his future. However, he will have the final say as he once said that he is planning to retire. It will be interesting to see how the story unfolds in coming days.
