Arsenal planning another surgery on their injured star

The star in question here is Takehiro Tomiyasu who joined Gunners in 2021. He played really well whenever Mikel Arteta gave him chance. In addition, he played on every part of defensive line making him a key part of the squad.

However, last season Tomiyasu suffered a serious injury. He had to undergo surgery which kept him out for as long as three months. Later, the player recovered by has always been haunted by injury concerns. This season, he has played just 1 match so far.

Sami Mokbel has now reported that there are fears emerging over Tomiyasu’s knee. He added that doctors are suggesting another surgery on the 26 year old. This will cure his long-term injury but at the same time keep the defender out for a long period of time.

The final decision is yet to be made but Gunners need to think fast about the situation. Tomiyasu is in peak of his career and will not want to miss matches regularly. This may result in his career peaking downwards.

Gunners prepared to sell 2 current stars

Sami Mokbel also reported about the club’s plans about current stars. The North London club are set to lose Partey, Jorginho and Tierney for free. They are unwilling to repeat this mistake and avoid losing players for free anymore.

Gunners are willing to extend Leandro Trossard’s contract. But, it is proving hard for them and hence they have made their intentions clear. As per Mokbel, they will be ready to listen to offers for Trossard if he does not sign contract extension.

Lastly, Mokbel also reported about Gabriel Jesus. Gunners were open to part ways with Jesus this summer. But, they will not look for offers as of now due to the striker being injured. Earlier, it was said that Jesus may miss as much as 9 months.
