Arsenal are offering €70 million to secure the signature of 21 year old striker this month. The striker has been preferred target of Mikel Arteta and Gunners are linked with him since very long time.
The star in question here is Benjamin Sesko of RB Leipzig. Gunners tried very hard to sign Sesko in summer. But, they were unable to convince the 21 year old. Instead, Sesko even signed a contract extension with Leipzig.
Arsenal ended the summer window without signing as striker. But, this approach has costed them multiple times so far. The North London club are heading for yet another trophyless season.
Mikel Arteta is keen to change the outcome and hence wants some key signings. He has openly admitted that they need more quality in final third. Gunners want a striker and a winger. As for striker, Sesko is still their top target.
Arsenal offer €70 million to Leipzig for Sesko
According to Todo Fichajes, Gunners are offering €70 million to Leipzig. They are keen to sign the 21 year old this month. However, Leipzig are unwilling to let Sesko leave in the middle of the season.
Earlier, it was reported that Sesko will prefer to join Arsenal over other clubs. But, it will be a summer transfer rather than January transfer. The upcoming days of January window will be very interesting as Gunners are stepping up their interest.
Sesko will be a great addition to the side for €70 million. He will be a long-term investment and a direct upgrade on many of the current stars at Arsenal. He can pull Gunners back in the title race if the move happens this month.
Along with Sesko, Arsenal also have Matheus Cunha on their radar for this month. The Brazilian too is keen to join them. Gunners will have to make a big decision in the last days of window.
