About Football Express India - Indian Super League - I-League

Jack Wilshere is back at Arsenal as the club has opened their training doors until the midfielder finds a new employer this season. Talking in a pre-match conference, Mikel Arteta has confirmed about Wilshere returning to Arsenal to use their training facilities.

The midfielder has a 17-year association with the gunners as he joined their youth setup in 2001 and stayed at Arsenal until 2018. Playing in the first-team, Wilshere appeared 198 times for Arsenal, scoring 14 goals and 30 assists. In 2018, the midfielder chose to leave the gunners as a free agent joining West Ham United. And to date, he regrets that decision.

Playing for West Ham he was only able to appear 19 times in two years, scoring 1 goal and 1 assist. It was his injury that has set him back despite being in a prime age for his career. Following his poor form and injury issues, the hammers decided to let go Wilshere in 2020. The midfielder was without a club until January 2021.

It was Bournemouth who signed Wilshere keeping in mind his previous loan spell at the club. Staying for six months with the Championship club Wilshere appeared 18 times, scoring 2 goals and 1 assist. And as his contract ended in the summer, Bournemouth decided not to offer him a new one. Following that currently, Jack Wilshere is a free agent who is still looking for his next employer.

However, despite not finding any club, Wilshere ends to be fit and be at regular training to improve his body and gameplay. And doing that he currently trains with Serie B side Como. While he was set to join them but couldn’t as didn’t he didn’t have a non-EU passport to register in Serie B.

Following Jack Wilshere’s difficult times Arsenal has lent their helping hands giving him permission to train with their current squad. While Arteta also confirmed the news saying the doors are always opened for Wilshere. And the midfielder is definitely considering taking that offer. But the rumour about Wilshere playing for Arsenal has been totally denied by Mikel Arteta.
