Edu Gasper became the first ever Sporting Director of Arsenal in 2022. He joined the club in 2019 where he became the first ever technical director. Edu recently left the role which came as a shock for almost everyone.
Edu is the one of the reason behind Arsenal’s transformation in the recent years. He made some crucial signings and helped the club to get where it is now. He also formed a very strong relationship with Mikel Arteta.
Edu will now join the group of clubs owned by Evangelos Marinakis. Gunners are now preparing for his suitable replacement. Jason Ayto will be stepping up at this time who is assistant sporting director. He is also one of the candidates looked for permanent role.

As per Gianluca Di Marzio, Scuro has now emerged as the new target. The Brazilian has impressed with his current job. He is director of football at French club AS Monaco. He has done a great job in the past 18 months.
Scuro is known for for his negotiation and leadership skills. He has played an important part in Monaco’s success who are now on third place in UCL. Scuro has a lot of experience as he has been involved in football management since 2004.
Arsenal will surely take more time before reaching any final decision. They may even get linked with many more big names. As of now, their priority is January transfer window. As said earlier, Jason Ayto will play the main role this winter.
