Arsenal player who was praised by Mikel Arteta moves away

Arsenal have done with their pre season games. They have only signed two players, out of which only one is new face. Gunners have signed Riccardo Calafiori and David Raya. They paid £39 million for Calafiori who helped Bologna to qualify for Champions League in 2023/24 season. One player has recently made move away from Arsenal who was once praised by Mikel Arteta. His name is Emile Smith Rowe who was considered as the future of Arsenal.

Emile Smith Rowe joined Arsenal in 2010 when he was 10 years old. He has been with Gunners ever since although making some loan moves. He was sent on loan two times. First time it was to RB Leipzig and the second time it was to Huddersfield town. After coming back from Huddersfield town Smith Rowe had very good seasons with Arsenal. He was able to score 4 goals and provide 7 assists. In the 2021/22 season he almost multiplied his goal scoring tally by 3 times. However, he provided very less assists. He played 37 matches and scored 11 goals along with providing 2 assists. Smith Rowe was considered as the replacement for Mesut Ozil. However he missed a lot of matches in the past two seasons. Injuries and poor form pulled Smith Rowe back. This got him sold in this summer market.

Fulham have completed the signing of Emile Smith Rowe from Arsenal. They have paid a club record fee of £27 million for the player.
