Arsenal are plotting a £70 million move for their top target this month. They are also trying to sign the player on loan if possible.
The star in question here is long term Arsenal target Benjamin Sesko. The Premier League giants were keen to sign Sesko in the summer itself. However, the deal never materialized. Instead, Sesko signed a contract extension with RB Leipzig.
Despite Sesko being tied to Leipzig until 2029, Gunners are still interested to sign him. They started this season without making striker signing and this has costed them on multiple occasions. Gunners have dropped points many times and are moving away from the Premier League title.
Sesko has once again been the topic of interest from the North London club. Mikel Arteta has already reported that they will very likely enter the market this month. The top priority will be to improve the attack with signing striker and winger.
Arsenal plotting £70 million move to land Sesko this month
The Sun have reported than Gunners weighing up a deal worth £70 million to sign Sesko this month. They added that the North London club are also trying to negotiate with Leipzig for a short term loan deal.
Earlier there were reports that the North London club are in talks with Sesko. However, the striker’s agent has rejected all the rumours about the talks. He also added that Sesko is not the type of player who joins on loan. Hence, the North London club may struggle to sign the 21 year on loan.
A permanent deal is also hard in the middle of the season but it can still be done. The player needs to be willing to switch sides and force the current club for the move. If Arsenal are able to sign Sesko, it will surely add more deadliness to the final third.
