Arsenal are plotting a move for Nigerian striker this month. The North London club are desperate to land attackers as they are in huge need to improve their final third.
Gunners started this season with signing a striker. In addition, they were even unable to land a winger and only signed Raheem Sterling on loan on the deadline day. However, this has affected the North London club.
Arsenal have dropped points on multiple occasions. In addition, they have been hit with constant injuries. This has resulted in them having major troubles in the final third. As of now, Saka and Jesus are sidelined with serious injuries.
Mikel Arteta has admitted that they need to improve their attacking unit. He also made it clear that they will very likely enter the market this month. Now, it is being reported that the North London club are plotting a move for Nigerian striker.
Arsenal plotting a move for Victor Osimhen
Pete O’Rourke has reported that Gunners are plotting a move to sign Victor Osimhen this month. He added that the North London club are keen to bolster their attacking options before the window closes on 3rd February.
Osimhen is surely moving away from Napoli this year. He is currently at Galatasary on loan but he is very unlikely to continue there. Premier League is very likely his next destination as 3 top clubs are keeping tabs on him.
Besides Arsenal, Osimhen is also looked upon by Man United and Chelsea. The Red Devils were even viewed as favourites to sign Osimhen earlier. However, they are also keen to sign Gyokeres who is preferred target of Ruben Amorim.
On the other hand, Chelsea are focused on signing Liam Delap. This makes Gunners the top contenders to land Osimhen but it will also depend on the player’s wish.
Earlier, Osimhen said that he wants to continue at Galatasary until the end of the season. He has 14 goals and 5 assists in 18 games this season for the Turkish giants.
