Arsenal plotting to replace Jesus with 22 year old French star

Arsenal have yet again been hit by bad luck as Gabriel Jesus suffered serious injury. After the tests, it was confirmed that the Brazilian has suffered ACL injury and will need surgery. He will be sidelined for long time alongside Bukayo Saka.

Gunners are very likely to enter the transfer market this month. Mikel Arteta recently confirmed that there will be activity from their side soon. He also provided update on Saka and Jesus. Saka will miss for 3 months whereas Jesus will miss for long time.

Arsenal are specifically targetting winger and striker. They already have some names on their wishlist but a deal in the middle of the season is often hard to end in success. The North London club are now monitoring young striker from France.

Arsenal considering a move for Elye Wahi

According to CaughtOffside, Gunners are plotting a move for Elye Wahi as a replacement for Gabriel Jesus. Wahi is 22 years old French striker who plays for Ligue 1 side Olympique Marseille. He joined Marseille in the summer from RC Lens.

Wahi has played 13 league games this season but has started in only 7 of them. He has responded by scoring 3 goals and picking 1 assist. Gunners may look to sign Wahi on loan rather than handing him a permanent contract.

Can Gunners land a big-name striker this month?

Arsenal are keen to sign a clinical striker but it is tough to complete a big move in the middle of the season. However, due to current situations at the club they may have to take some bold decisions.

As of now, Isak is completely off the list which leaves Vlahovic and Sesko in the picture. Gyokeres is also one of the top targets but it is very likely that the Sweedish striker joins Man United to reunite with Ruben Amorim.

Gunners have the best chance to land Dusan Vlahovic this month. Juventus have signed Kolo Muani on loan which has opened exit doors for Vlahovic. The North London club can sign the Serbian on loan but Juve will like to include an obligation to buy at the end of the season.
