Arsenal prepared for spending way more than £100 million for …

Arsenal can be prepared to spend way more than £100 million for one of the world’s best football players right now. They are keen to land the superstar and very likely to enter the summer market in strong fashion for him.

The star in question here is Alexander Isak of Newcastle United. The 25 year old has been a long term target for Gunners. He has been in superb form since last season which has increased his market value very rapidly.

Gunners do not have a clinical striker in their club. This has costed them on various occasions this season. They wanted to sign a striker in summer but were unable to agree deals with any of their targets.

The North London club has now learned that they need a high quality striker to win major titles. They are very likely to sign a big name striker this year. However, it is very likely to happen in summer window.

Arsenal prepared to spend big on Isak

Isak is still the top priority for Gunners but the Magpies are unwilling to sell him. However, the Sweden international can force a move as he wants to play regularly in Champions League. In that case, the Magpies will demand a hefty fee.

Isak will surely cost Arsenal more than £100 million. Infact, he can become a british transfer record signing and not just Arsenal record signing. Journalist Sami Mokbel has reported that Gunners can be prepared to spend that much on the 25 year old in summer.

Mokbel said that Gunners are likely to revive their interest in Isak in summer. He added that the North London club had a relatively quiet summer 2024 window. This will allow them to spend big like they did when signing Declan Rice in 2023.

Lastly, there were also reports that Isak can opt to stay at Newcastle if they qualify for Champions League. Currently, they are on 5th position in Premier League. Isak is once again in superb form and has scored 15 goals along with 4 assists in 22 games across all competitions.
