Arsenal get major boost ahead of PSG clash in the UEFA Champions League

Arsenal will be playing host to PSG in the match day 2 of the UEFA Champions League. The Gunners are yet to secure a win in Europe this season. They were not at their best in their first game. In fact, they barely managed to draw against Atalanta. At the same time, they are yet to open their scoring account in the tournament. As for the Les Parisiens, they were able to win in the first game. Enrique’s side beat Girona by 1-0. The London Reds need to win this one to get their journey going. A win would keep them in the top half of the league table for sure.

How will Arsenal lineup against PSG?

Mikel Arteta has a big boost coming his way. Although, captain Martin Odegaard remains out of action. But, we could finally see Mikel Merino making his debut. As per football.london, at the same time, even Tomiyasu is back in training. Also, Calafiori has also managed to recover from his injury against Leicester. So, Arsenal will be hoping to put on a show against PSG. Hopefully, the home fans will have plenty to cheer about in this fixture. As far as the Premier League is concerned, Arteta’s side have managed to pick up a couple of red cards. So, we could also see a very physical battle between the two heavyweights.

Bonus for the London Reds

Now, things get a little more exciting for the home side. They do have some of their top players returning in action. But, at the same time, the opposition’s top player now won’t be playing. Luis Enrique has dropped Ousmane Dembele from his lineup. The duo ended up arguing after the game against Rennes. As a result, the Frenchman will be absent from the important UEFA Champions League game. With the home side already behind them, we could see Arsenal grabbing all 3-points today.
