Arsenal receive major boost to land their long-term target

Arsenal have received a major boost to land their long-term target this month. The star in question is Dusan Vlahovic of Juventus.

Firstly, Gunners were interested to sign Vlahovic in January 2022 itself. But, they feel short and the Serbian joined Juventus. However after 3 years, Vlahovic is linked with exit from Turin.

Vlahovic is in final 18 months of his contract. It is proving hard for Juve to tie him down to new contract. This has resulted in them making the 24 year old available on the market.

Arsenal are once again linked with Vlahovic in order to improve their attacking unit. They are in urgent need of striker as Gabriel Jesus has suffered ACL injury. Gunners have now received major boost to land Vlahovic this month.

Arsenal handed major boost to sign Vlahovic this month

Fabrizio Romano has reported that Juve have signed Kolo Muani on loan from PSG. He added that the French striker will join on 6 month loan with no option to buy. Kolo Muani will fly to Turin today to complete his medicals.

This suggests that Juve are keen to part ways with Dusan Vlahovic. Arsenal could now take benefit of the situation and sign Vlahovic on loan with an option to buy at the end of the season. They can also agree a permanent deal this month itself.

Vlahovic will be a great addition to the Arsenal squad. He will be an upgrade on both Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus. In addition, he will turn 25 in few days and will enter the peak of his career. Lastly, he has been in superb form this season with 12 goals and 2 assists.

However, signing Vlahovic will decrease the chances of Arsenal to land Isak, Gyokeres or Sesko. Some fans still feel like Arteta should go after either Isak, Sesko or Gyokeres instead of Vlahovic. But, they also need to keep financial side in mind. Along with striker, Gunners need to sign midfielder and a winger this year too.
